Two Israelis chased, kicked in Montenegro in apparent antisemitic attack

Two young Israelis, Yoav and Dor, on a pre-army vacation in Montenegro, described a terrifying ordeal they believe was an antisemitic attack. The incident began innocently at a casino when a man engaged them in conversation and inquired about their origin.

Upon learning they were from Israel, the situation reportedly turned hostile. Yoav recounted that the man became persistent and offered to take them to a different casino. Suspicion grew when they realized the man knew the locals at the tables, suggesting a potential setup. After escaping the casino, they were confronted by a group of approximately 15 people who chased them through the streets.

Yoav managed to hide in a private garden and later an outdoor kitchen, where he contacted his parents. Dor was caught and kicked by the mob but managed to escape to their hotel. Yoav described the pursuit as a "hunt in the alleys and streets," with the mob shouting "Jews, Jews!" The Israeli Foreign Ministry was contacted and provided assistance, coordinating with local police to ensure the young men's safety. Montenegrin authorities are reportedly investigating the incident.
