Two Lawrence Bishnoi gang shooters killed in encounter in Haryana: Police

An intense encounter in Haryana's Bahadurgarh on Sunday resulted in the deaths of two alleged shooters associated with the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The operation was a joint effort by the Delhi Police Special Cell and the Haryana Special Task Force (STF).

The deceased, identified as Parvesh and Himanshu, were each carrying a reward of ₹1 lakh and were the primary suspects in the June 10 murder of 25-year-old gym owner Kapil Redhu in Hansi. Redhu was shot multiple times outside his gym by assailants on a motorcycle.

When the teams attempted to intercept the shooters, they opened fire. In self-defence, the police teams returned fire. During the exchange, a Delhi Police constable sustained a bullet injury to his leg, while four other personnel suffered bullet impacts on their bulletproof jackets.

Authorities received intelligence that the two wanted men were armed and planning another murder. When police teams attempted to intercept them, the suspects allegedly opened fire. In self-defense, police returned fire, resulting in an exchange that left one Delhi Police constable with a leg injury. Four other officers sustained bullet impacts on their bulletproof vests.

Both Parvesh and Himanshu were injured in the shootout and were pronounced dead upon arrival at a local hospital. The injured constable was transferred to a super-specialty hospital for further treatment. Investigations revealed that both men were also wanted in cases involving murder, attempted murder, and violations of the Arms Act.
