Two linked to Tláhuac Cartel face trial for drug dealing, bribery

A judge has ordered Eduardo "N" and Iván "N" to stand trial, accusing them of drug dealing, bribery, and possessing ammunition intended exclusively for the armed forces. Both men will remain in preventive detention, with a one-month period set for the closure of the complementary investigation.

The Attorney General's Office of Mexico City (FGJ) reported that the two suspects attempted to bribe officers with a vehicle and 40,000 pesos to avoid their arrest. The incident occurred in the Agrícola Metropolitana neighborhood of Tláhuac, where investigative police observed the men receiving bags of drugs from a motorcyclist in exchange for money.

When approached by police, Eduardo and Iván attempted to flee in a car but were intercepted. A search revealed drugs, 12 rounds of ammunition for exclusive military use, and three cell phones. The FGJ's investigation suggests the detainees are linked to a criminal cell led by Miguel "N", alias "MK", who is currently imprisoned and is reportedly a son of the former Cartel de Tláhuac leader, Felipe de Jesús Pérez Luna, alias "El Ojos". Eduardo is believed to be "MK's" key financial administrator, while Iván handled distribution, deliveries, and collections.

The court proceedings on July 24th saw them formally charged with the three offenses.
