Two men charged and drugs, guns and cars linked to CFMEU seized as police investigate alleged corruption

An investigation into alleged corruption within Victoria's building industry has led to the arrest of five men and the seizure of illicit items, including drugs, guns, and vehicles connected to the Construction, Forestry and Maritime Employees Union (CFMEU).

Detectives from Taskforce Hawk executed searches on six properties, including the CFMEU's Victorian headquarters, as part of their probe into secret commissions, fraud, and drug trafficking. The operation highlights serious allegations of criminal activity within the union and the broader construction sector.

Two men have so far been charged in connection with the investigation. Police continue to pursue leads as they work to uncover the full extent of the alleged corruption. The seized items are believed to be linked to the union's operations and the ongoing criminal inquiry.
