Two MLAs Among Six Injured in Delhi Car Collision Near PWD Office

Two Indian lawmakers were among six people who sustained minor injuries in a car collision in central Delhi on Sunday night. The incident involved a car that reportedly veered across traffic lanes after hitting a divider.

The vehicle, driven by 32-year-old Ashutosh Pandey and carrying his wife and two children, was traveling from Laxmi Nagar towards ITO. Police stated the car struck a divider, breached a roadside railing, and then collided with an oncoming Innova. The Innova was carrying Anil Jha, the sitting MLA from Delhi's Kirari constituency, and Abhay Patil, an MLA from Karnataka.

All six individuals involved suffered minor injuries and were transported to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Hospital for treatment. Authorities confirmed that all were in stable condition following the incident. A police team responded to a call about the accident around 9:30 p.m. at the I.P. Estate police station.

Preliminary investigations suggest the car first hit the divider before crossing into the opposite lane. Police are continuing their investigation to determine the precise cause of the accident. The collision caused damage to both vehicles.
