Two off-duty firefighters rescue unconscious crash victim in Bihor

Two firefighters who were off duty intervened immediately after a road crash in Groși, Bihor, and gave first aid to a man trapped inside a car. The man had been unconscious after the collision.

The firefighters, Junc Marius from the Aleșd Station and Sânza Raul from Oradea's Detachment 2, were near the crash site. The Bihor Emergency Situations Inspectorate said they cleared the victim's airways and provided initial support until specialized crews arrived.

The inspectorate said their rapid intervention proved essential. By the time firefighters and medical teams reached the vehicle, the victim had regained consciousness. Crews then removed him from the car, assessed and treated him at the scene, and transported him to hospital.

Firefighters from the Aleșd Station arrived with a first-response vehicle, while Oradea Detachment 2 sent a heavy rescue vehicle. A SMURD first-aid ambulance and a county ambulance service crew also took part in the response.
