Two settlers arrested over suspected involvement in Kusra attacks, Israel Police say

Israeli police arrested two teenagers suspected of involvement in recent violent attacks on the Palestinian village of Kusra in the West Bank.

Police said the first suspect, a 19-year-old from the Shomron area, was arrested after officers searched his vehicle. They found several suspicious items, including an airsoft rifle, a knife, a penknife and tear gas.

Authorities later located a second suspect, an 18-year-old from the Jordan Valley who was serving in mandatory IDF service. The arrests followed an earlier announcement that a West Bank resident had been detained in connection with the attacks, making the 19-year-old the first suspect arrested in the case.

According to police, the first arrest resulted from a joint investigation with the Shin Bet that involved collecting testimony and evidence through various technological tools and capabilities. Police said they intend to bring everyone who took part in the Kusra attacks to justice and will seek an extension of the suspect’s detention at an upcoming court hearing.
