Two Tallinn monuments to be relocated due to school expansion

As part of the construction of an extension to the Tallinn Real School, two historical monuments in the city center are set to be relocated. The move is necessitated by the completion of the new school building and aims to preserve the historical significance of the monuments while accommodating the educational expansion.

The "Anchor and Cannon" monument, which commemorates the naval battle of Tallinn in 1790, will undergo conservation before being transported to Aegena Island. This monument is a significant historical marker, representing a key event in the region's past.

Following the relocation of the "Anchor and Cannon," its current site will be occupied by the Ernst Peterson-Särgava monument. This monument is presently situated near the Estonian Bank museum and will be moved to the former location of the naval battle memorial.
