Two Women Injured After Being Thrown From Melaka Theme Park Water Slide

Two women suffered head injuries after being thrown from an inflatable tube while riding a water slide at a theme park in Ayer Keroh, Melaka, Malaysia. The incident occurred on August 22, involving a 46-year-old woman and a 31-year-old woman who were visiting the park with their families.

According to Melaka Tengah police chief Halim Abas, the older woman sustained a small blood clot in her head and an injury beneath her chin. She also experienced head and chest pain and a wound on her right knee. While an X-ray showed no injuries, a CT scan confirmed the blood clot. She reported striking the slide's wall and having no memory of the event afterwards.

The older victim, who was seated at the front, claimed that her head struck the wall of the slide and that she could not remember what happened afterwards.

The younger woman lost consciousness during the descent and regained it at the slide's open section. She was diagnosed with a concussion at a private hospital but had no other detected injuries. Both women reportedly emerged from the slide without their tube and missed the splash pool.

Investigations by the police, who were alerted by the older victim's 22-year-old daughter, found no criminal element in the incident. The daughter had lodged a police report on August 23.
