Two-year-old missing from Berlin since May 28, search continues

Authorities in Berlin are intensifying their search for a two-year-old boy named Alex, who has been missing since Thursday, May 28. Police are investigating with "high pressure" to locate the child, who was reportedly picked up from his mother's apartment in Lichtenberg by an acquaintance.

The police stated that the man who picked up Alex from the Wartenberger Straße apartment did not return the child. Details regarding the exact relationship between the mother and the acquaintance, or whether the pickup was pre-arranged or unexpected, have not been disclosed by investigators. Motives behind the disappearance also remain unclear.

Police are appealing to the public for any information regarding the boy's whereabouts. Alex is described as having short dark hair. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing black shorts, a red T-shirt with a yellow star on the front, and a dark blue Spiderman baseball cap.
