Typhoon approaching, Chinese warships continue to harass Taiwan Strait

China's sustained gray-zone harassment in the Taiwan Strait continues, with Taiwan's Ministry of National Defense reporting ongoing activity by Chinese vessels. Between 6 a.m. on July 10 and 6 a.m. on July 11, Taiwan's military detected one Chinese warship and one patrol vessel operating in waters around Taiwan.

During this specific 24-hour period, no Chinese military aircraft were observed in Taiwan's Air Defense Identification Zone or surrounding airspace. Consequently, the Ministry of National Defense did not release an air route map for this update.

The Ministry of National Defense emphasized that Taiwan's armed forces are maintaining close surveillance and readiness. They are utilizing combat aircraft, naval vessels, and shore-based missile systems to monitor and respond to any incursions or escalations by Chinese forces.

This latest report underscores the persistent nature of China's military activities near Taiwan, which Taiwan characterizes as gray-zone tactics aimed at testing its defenses and maintaining pressure without resorting to outright conflict.
