Universidad de Chile continued its winning streak, securing a vital 2-1 victory over Palestino in the National Stadium. This marks their fourth consecutive win in the second round of the Liga de Primera, accumulating 33 points and solidifying their position as the sole chasers of league leaders Colo Colo.

The "Blues" started strong, aiming to close the gap on the "Albos." Agustín Arce opened the scoring in the 17th minute with a powerful shot from outside the box. Eduardo Vargas extended the lead in the 24th minute, capitalizing on a pass from Charles Aránguiz to beat goalkeeper Sebastián Pérez.

In the second half, Universidad de Chile came close to a third goal, with shots from Arce and Marcelo Morales hitting the post. However, Palestino managed to pull one back in the 78th minute after a penalty was awarded following a VAR review. Nelson da Silva converted the spot-kick.
