U.S. prepares largest mass visa revocation targeting up to 200,000 foreigners seeking asylum

The Trump administration is preparing a sweeping measure to revoke the business and tourism visas of as many as 200,000 foreigners who have applied for or are currently seeking asylum in the United States. Officials described the plan as the largest single mass revocation of visas in U.S. history, anticipating significant legal opposition.

According to State Department documents obtained by The Associated Press, the State Department is expected to announce the revocation of B1 (business) and B2 (tourism) visas issued between 2016 and 2026. These visas would be revoked for individuals who have sought or are currently seeking asylum. The action is being coordinated with the Department of Homeland Security.
