U.S. trains soldiers for all confrontation scenarios with Iran in Strait of Hormuz

The United States is heightening the readiness of its forces tasked with securing oil tanker traffic in the Strait of Hormuz, according to U.S. diplomatic and military sources. Strategic directives from the White House to the Pentagon mandate preparations for potential Iranian actions against commercial shipping. These preparations include conducting nighttime and daytime amphibious landing exercises on empty tankers. The aim is to enhance rapid deployment capabilities and response to emergency scenarios, specifically targeting any Iranian attempts to seize or disrupt vessels. The exercises also allow U.S. forces to assess the terrain around the Strait and improve their ability to conduct swift amphibious operations.
