UAE President Sheikh Mohamed meets Bahrain’s King Hamad

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on Saturday, with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE’s vice president, prime minister and ruler of Dubai, also present.

The leaders held cordial discussions highlighting what the report described as the deep-rooted fraternal ties between the two countries and their peoples. They reviewed several areas of bilateral cooperation and discussed ways to strengthen relations.

The talks focused on supporting the development priorities and shared interests of the UAE and Bahrain, as well as the prosperity and wellbeing of their peoples. The leaders also exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai’s crown prince, deputy prime minister and minister of defence, attended alongside ministers and senior officials. Bahrain was also represented by Lieutenant General Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the country’s national security adviser, secretary general of the Supreme Defence Council and commander of the Bahrain Royal Guard.
