UAE's Ministry of Education explains categories of students eligible to take remote exams

The UAE's Ministry of Education has outlined specific categories of students eligible for remote exam retakes, aiming to ensure accessibility and accommodate diverse circumstances. This policy allows students to take exams remotely if approved by school administration in coordination with the General Education Examinations and Assessment Department.

Key beneficiaries include "people of determination" who cannot physically attend exams, students undergoing medical treatment within or outside the UAE, and those who are temporarily outside the country with a valid reason. Minor students detained in juvenile centers are also included in this remote examination provision.

The ministry also emphasized the responsibility of schools to support students facing technical difficulties or lacking necessary equipment, such as computers, for centralized electronic exams. Schools are obligated to resolve these issues during the exam period, ensuring all students can complete their assessments. The ministry affirmed that if school-provided computers are unavailable, computer labs will be utilized to facilitate the exams.
