UAE summer travel rush: Sharjah Airport set to welcome 3 million passengers

Sharjah Airport is preparing for a significant surge in travelers, anticipating around 3 million passengers and 19,000 flight operations during the peak summer season, which runs from late June to August. To manage the influx, the airport has put a comprehensive operational plan in place, focusing on smooth passenger flow and upholding high safety and security standards.

Airport authorities are strengthening coordination among operational teams and support services to effectively handle the increased volume. They are also monitoring performance to ensure operational efficiency. Passengers are strongly advised to arrive at least three hours before their scheduled departure to avoid long queues and check-in lines. Additionally, travelers must ensure their travel documents are valid and review baggage regulations prior to their journey.

Sharjah Airport also offers a Home Check-In service, allowing passengers to complete travel procedures from their homes. The airport stated its commitment to enhancing operational readiness and services to meet growing travel demand, aiming to deliver a seamless experience and support the aviation sector's growth in Sharjah. Other UAE airports, like Dubai International and Zayed International Airport, are also bracing for the busy period, with Dubai expecting its busiest day on July 12th.
