UCAB shares its research capabilities with Encovi Panamá for social surveys

Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB) is extending its research expertise to Encovi Panamá, fostering a collaboration aimed at enhancing the execution of social surveys within the country. This partnership signifies a commitment to strengthening the capacity for data collection and analysis on critical social issues in Panama.

The collaboration will leverage UCAB's established experience in conducting large-scale surveys. Encovi Panamá, in turn, will benefit from this shared knowledge to refine its methodologies and broaden the scope of its research. This transfer of expertise is expected to improve the quality and reliability of social data gathered in Panama.

Encovi Panamá's initial research, conducted in November 2025, provides a foundation for this collaboration. The study involved a sample of 5,260 households across Panama, focusing on essential areas such as health and education. The findings from this survey are crucial for understanding the current social landscape and informing policy decisions.
