UI honours Olaosebikan for supporting sports academy

The University of Ibadan has honored Kehinde Olaosebikan for supporting the establishment of its Sports Academy.

A delegation led by Sports Academy Chairman Professor Olufemi Adegbesan presented Olaosebikan with the Iconic Friend of the University of Ibadan Sports Academy award at the headquarters of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-Kehinde Olaosebikan Grassroots Movement in Ibadan.

Adegbesan said the award recognized Olaosebikan’s service and contributions to creating the academy. “On behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof K.O. Adebowale, I present this award to Hon Kehinde Olaosebikan as an Iconic Friend of the Academy in recognition of your selfless service and immense contributions to the establishment of the Sports Academy of the University of Ibadan,” he said.

The university said Olaosebikan’s commitment to sports and youth development had supported efforts to realize the academy’s vision. He is also the chief executive officer of Midas Communications Limited.

Olaosebikan thanked the university and said his support reflected the academy’s focus on sports and youth development. He pledged to continue backing the institution and expressed confidence that it could become a leading sports academy in Africa.
