UK Chevening Scholarships open for Lebanese applicants

Lebanese citizens and Palestinians residing in Lebanon are invited to apply for the UK Government's prestigious Chevening Scholarships, which offer fully funded master's degrees at universities across the United Kingdom. The application window is now open and will close on October 6, 2026.

The Chevening Scholarships program aims to cultivate future global leaders by providing them with world-class education, valuable UK connections, and shared values to tackle global challenges and promote sustainable development. This year, Lebanon is also a recipient of the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies (OCIS) Chevening Fellowship, offering mid-career academics and professionals a five-month research opportunity at the University of Oxford.

In addition to the general scholarship scheme, Lebanon benefits from several local partnerships. The Chevening-Siren Associates Scholarship will fund a master's degree in Governance, International Development, Human Rights, or Public Financial Management/Administration at a top UK university. The Chevening-Raffy Manoukian Scholarship will support up to three individuals pursuing master's degrees in Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, STEM, or related fields at a top 10 UK university.

Furthermore, the Chevening-Rebecca Dykes Scholarship, awarded by the British Embassy in Beirut since 2017, supports women pursuing master's degrees in areas such as Gender Studies, Peace and Conflict Studies, Human Rights, and Refugee and Migration Studies. The British Embassy selects the recipient for this scholarship.
