The attacks, which struck targets in the Moscow region and the border area of Belgorod, represent a clear response to Russia's recent intensified assaults on Ukrainian cities.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the strikes, sharing video evidence of drones in flight and emergency crews battling blazes. Zelenskyy highlighted Ukraine's enhanced capabilities, noting that strikes could now reach targets over 500 km from the border, penetrating Russia's sophisticated air defenses, particularly around Moscow.

Despite these claims, the Ukrainian military's General Staff reported successful strikes on a plant producing high-precision weapons outside Moscow and a command point overseeing drone flights in occupied Donetsk.
