Ukraine reinforces Donetsk as it seeks to disrupt Russia’s weapons flow

Ukraine has bolstered its defenses in the eastern Donetsk region as Russian forces intensify their push to seize Sloviansk, a critical city within Ukraine's defensive "fortress belt." This strategic reinforcement comes as Ukraine pivots its air defense strategy, focusing on disrupting Russia's ballistic missile production and launch capabilities rather than solely intercepting incoming missiles.

The decision by Britain and France to transfer Storm Shadow cruise missile technology to Kyiv marks a significant development. Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief Mykhailo Drapatyi recently ordered reinforcements for two units defending Sloviansk. Meanwhile, Russian troops are reportedly within four kilometers of the city, though independent mapping suggests they are further out.

Ukraine's campaign to disrupt Russian front lines is showing success.
