Ukraine releases video of Monaco bombing targeting oligarch Vadim Ermolaev

Ukraine's Prosecutor General's Office has released video footage capturing the moment of an assassination attempt on Ukrainian businessman Vadim Ermolaev in Monaco. Investigators consider the video, recovered despite attempts to destroy it, a crucial piece of evidence in the ongoing case.

The attack occurred on June 29, targeting 58-year-old Ermolaev, who also holds Cypriot citizenship. He, his partner, and their 13-year-old son were injured when an explosive device detonated in their residential building. All three survived the blast and are currently hospitalized.

Investigators have recovered one of the key pieces of evidence that the suspects tried to destroy.

The approximately 40-second video, obtained from a surveillance camera near the scene, shows an individual leaving a bag in front of a building entrance before departing. The explosion occurs moments later as Ermolaev, his partner, and son approach the building.

Anastasia Berezovska, a 39-year-old Ukrainian national, is considered the main suspect in planting the bomb. She was found shot dead near Kyiv several days after the attack. Monaco authorities had sought her extradition via Interpol on charges including attempted murder and placing an explosive device in a public place. Shortly after Berezovska's body was discovered, Ukrainian investigators arrested two individuals, a former police officer and an active intelligence officer, on suspicion of her murder.
