Ukrainian Drone Strikes Hit Russian E-Commerce Hubs, Causing Major Disruptions

Ukraine's drone attacks have struck two significant logistics centers belonging to Russia's largest online marketplace, Wildberries, causing substantial damage and disrupting operations. The targeted facilities in Kotovsk and Elektrostal were hit on Saturday, resulting in fires and significant operational interruptions for the e-commerce giant. Wildberries, which processes over 20 million orders daily, is a major player in the Russian market. These strikes are being described as some of the most expensive attacks on Russian commercial infrastructure since the conflict began, with preliminary estimates suggesting damages of up to 1.1 billion euros from a single strike. The Kremlin has acknowledged the severity of the situation. Dmitry Peskov, a spokesperson for the Kremlin, informed reporters that the situation is indeed difficult due to the losses incurred by both Wildberries and representatives of small and medium-sized businesses. The attacks highlight Ukraine's expanding reach in targeting Russian economic assets, aiming to inflict economic pain and undermine the perception of security within Russia.
