Ukrainian drones hit Russians where it hurts most, Russians ruthlessly strike Kyiv

Ukrainian long-range drones have struck critical Russian energy infrastructure, hitting an oil refinery in Saratov and a petrochemical plant in Tatarstan, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed.

These attacks are part of Ukraine's strategy to degrade Russia's ability to sustain its war effort. "Ukraine is responding quite rightly to Russia for its attacks on our country and for prolonging the war," Zelenskyy stated on social media. Ukraine has been systematically targeting Russian military and energy infrastructure in recent months, aiming to disrupt logistics and resource supply.

In addition to the strikes on refineries, Ukrainian drones have also targeted Russian vessels. On July 8, commander Robert Brovdi, known by his call sign "Magyar," reported that drones hit nine Russian "shadow tankers" in the Sea of Azov. These tankers were transporting fuel to Crimea, which is experiencing a significant energy crisis due to ongoing Ukrainian attacks on oil logistics.

Zelenskyy has also urged European allies to accelerate the provision of accessible, mass-produced anti-ballistic missile systems, stating that the need "cannot wait until 2030 or later" and must be met "as soon as possible, actually, today."
