Uludağ Premium Ultra Trail medals awarded

The 9th edition of the Uludağ Premium Ultra Trail has concluded in Turkey, drawing a significant international field of 2,853 athletes from 23 countries. The three-day event, hosted by the Uludağ Area Presidency and sponsored by Uludağ Premium, offered a challenging yet scenic experience for runners of all levels.

Participants navigated five distinct courses that wound through notable locations in Bursa. These included areas like Cennettepe, Kirazlıyayla, Süleymaniye, Hünkar Köşkü, Zeyniler, Cumalıkızık, and various waterfalls and lakes such as Kürekli Şelalesi, Saitabat Şelalesi, Buzul Göletler, Softaboğan Şelalesi, and Bakacak. The routes tested runners' endurance while showcasing the natural beauty and historical sites of the region, including the Uludağ Summit.

The final day of the event featured a 6K race and, for the first time, a Children's Run, which proved to be a highlight with colorful scenes and enthusiastic young participants. The races were complemented by performances from the Bursa Regional State Symphony Orchestra at various points along the course, blending classical music with the natural environment and athletic endeavor.

Athletes from countries including Russia, Bangladesh, Spain, Canada, the United States, Germany, France, and Japan competed. Beyza Güzel, the winner of the 70K race, described her fifth year at the event as "a different experience every time," praising its continuous improvement and the demanding yet rewarding nature of the trails. She noted the significant elevation gain, climbing from 300 meters to 2,500 meters within the first 30 kilometers of the 70K course. Güzel expressed her excitement for future races, including Chamonix, Kaçkar, and Cappadocia.
