Union Berlin begins preseason with dominant 12-2 victory

New coach Mauro Lustrinelli kicked off his tenure with 1. FC Union Berlin with a resounding 12-2 win against Oberliga team FSV Optik Rathenow in their first preseason friendly. The team demonstrated strong offensive capabilities, scoring seven goals in the first half alone.

Key players like Andrej Ilic, Linus Güther, and Marin Ljubicic each netted two goals, contributing significantly to the dominant scoreline. Other goal scorers included Derrick Köhn, Livan Burcu, Oliver Burke, Andras Schäfer, Ilyas Ansah, and Tom Rothe. The match saw a complete lineup change at halftime, with Lustrinelli giving opportunities to 22 different players.
