Universal Child Allowance rises 2.11% in September: How much will recipients receive?

Recipients of Argentina’s Universal Child Allowance, known as AUH, receive a 2.11% increase in September. The adjustment follows the monthly formula based on the latest inflation index, which recorded 2.1% inflation in July.

The updated AUH payment is 123,221.55 pesos. The allowance for a child with a disability rises to 401,226.62 pesos, while the pregnancy allowance also reaches 123,221.55 pesos.

The benefit supports parents or other eligible holders who live with children under 18 and meet the required conditions. Anses says the program has operated for 16 years and reaches 2.5 million families, which have fewer than two children on average. In total, the allowance covers 4.3 million children.

Recipients receive 80% of the benefit directly. The remaining 20% stays withheld until they submit the AUH booklet, which documents the children’s school attendance and health care.
