Universidad Católica Honors Former Sports Manager Buljubasich with Farewell Ceremony

Universidad Católica recently honored José María "Tati" Buljubasich, the club's former sports manager, with a heartfelt farewell ceremony at the Claro Arena. The event celebrated his significant contributions and achievements during his extensive involvement with the institution.

Buljubasich, who concluded his cycle with Cruzados on Tuesday, was accompanied by his family. He was recognized by the current team, coaching staff, club management, and employees. Displayed prominently were the 12 titles the club secured under his leadership as sports manager, alongside a framed jersey commemorating his success.

Several key figures were present, including Matías Claro, the current head of Cruzados, and three former club presidents, Jaime Estévez, Luis Larraín, and Juan Tagle, who had worked alongside Buljubasich. His journey with Universidad Católica began in 2005 when he joined as a goalkeeper, winning the Torneo de Clausura that same year. He remained with the team until 2008.

Buljubasich returned to Cruzados in 2010, taking on the role of sports manager. In this capacity, he guided the team to numerous victories, securing seven league titles, four Supercopas, and one Copa Chile. His successful management period is marked by a total of 12 major trophies, solidifying his legacy within the club's history.
