Universidad de Concepción signs former Rosario Central captain Jorge Broun

Chilean club Universidad de Concepción has secured the services of Argentine goalkeeper Jorge Broun as their latest reinforcement for the upcoming season. Broun, aged 40, joins from Rosario Central, where he served as captain and made a significant impact over 279 official appearances, maintaining 92 clean sheets.

During his tenure with Rosario Central, Broun was instrumental in the team's victories, clinching the Argentine Primera División and the Copa de la Liga Profesional. His leadership and experience are expected to bolster the Concepción squad as they face future challenges.

Broun's career also includes stints with other notable clubs such as Colón, Gimnasia y Esgrima de La Plata, and Deportes Antofagasta, marking his first experience in Chilean football. Internationally, he had a successful period with Ludogorets in Bulgaria, where he won the First League twice (2017-2018 and 2018-2019) and the Bulgarian Supercup in 2018.
