Unko Sweater Sweeps Critics Film Awards; Acharya, Sharma Bag Top Acting Honors

The Critics Film Awards for the Nepali calendar year 2082 B.S. have been announced, with the independent feature 'Unko Sweater' emerging as the dominant film. The Film Critics Society of Nepal (FICSON) revealed the winners on Tuesday, following a comprehensive review and technical analysis of movies released throughout the year.

'Unko Sweater' secured four significant awards, including Best Film. Nabin Chauhan was recognized as Best Director for his work on the film, and he also shared the Best Screenplay award with Suraj Katuwal. The film's score also earned an award, with Kobid Bazra credited for Best Background Score.

In the acting categories, veteran actor Hari Bansha Acharya won Best Actor for his performance in 'Bhuthan.' Anna Sharma took home the Best Actress award for her role in 'Rammita Koo Pirati.' The film 'Bhuthan' also performed well in technical categories, winning awards for Best Cinematography and Best Editing.

FICSON is preparing to present trophies for both the 2081 and 2082 B.S. award years at a joint ceremony. The results for 2082 B.S. were released in advance to ensure transparency and professional integrity. Details regarding the date and venue of the official award ceremony will be announced separately.
