Update Personal Details at One Financial Institution After Name or ID Change

South Koreans who have legally changed their name or updated their resident registration number will no longer need to visit multiple financial institutions to update their personal details. A new streamlined process allows individuals to complete these updates by visiting just one financial institution, which will then notify others on their behalf.

Previously, individuals had to individually contact each bank, insurance company, credit card firm, and other financial service providers where they held accounts or had contracts.
