US Include 35-Year-Old Rookie Lindy Duncan Among Solheim Cup Captain's Picks

U.S. Solheim Cup captain Angela Stanford has finalized her team by selecting Megan Khang, Rose Zhang, and Lindy Duncan as her captain's picks. These selections complete the roster for the U.S. squad, which is preparing to defend the trophy won against Europe two years ago.

Megan Khang brings significant experience, marking her fifth consecutive Solheim Cup appearance. She was the top scorer for the U.S. team in the 2023 event held in Spain. Rose Zhang will represent the United States for the third time in this prestigious biennial matchplay competition.

Notably, Lindy Duncan, at 35 years old, becomes the oldest rookie to debut in the Solheim Cup. Her inclusion makes her the oldest debutant since Nancy Scranton in 2000. Zhang, meanwhile, had a remarkable performance in the 2024 Solheim Cup, achieving a perfect 4-0-0 record.

These three join the automatic qualifiers: Nelly Korda, Angel Yin, Jennifer Kupcho, Yealimi Noh, Auston Kim, Lauren Coughlin, Allisen Corpuz, Andrea Lee, and Alison Lee. The team will compete from September 11 to 13 at Bernardus Golf in the Netherlands, with the U.S. team aiming not only to retain the cup but also to achieve their first victory on European soil since 2015.
