US, Iran warn they are ready for war

This visit, occurring shortly after the formation of Nepal's new government, is considered the most high-profile engagement by a US official in Kathmandu in recent times. Kapur's agenda includes discussions with the Finance Minister and representatives of the Nepal-US Chamber of Commerce and Industry, indicating a broad approach to strengthening economic ties. The US official has expressed interest in expanding business opportunities within Nepal's Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector, alongside cooperation in digital infrastructure, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and technology exchange.

Notably, Kapur is not scheduled to meet Prime Minister Shah, a departure from previous high-level visits. This, along with the US's stated interest in ensuring no single power dominates South Asia, suggests a strategic focus on Nepal's geopolitical position.
