US national, Khalistani extremist among 5 caught entering India illegally from Nepal

Indian authorities have apprehended five individuals, including a U.S. national and a Khalistani extremist, who were attempting to cross into India illegally from Nepal. The arrests were made in a coordinated operation involving the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and the Uttar Pradesh Police.

The group's illegal entry attempt was thwarted near the border. The specific identities and affiliations of the U.S. national and the Khalistani extremist are under investigation, as are their motives for attempting to enter India.

In addition to the foreign nationals, three Indian citizens were also arrested in connection with the incident. These individuals, identified as Suresh Kumar Pathak, Dilip Upadhyay, and driver Rahul Kumar, all residents of Rupaidiha town, were taken into custody during the joint operation.
