USA crowned U17 Women's Volleyball World Champions in Chile

The United States has been crowned champions of the U17 Women's Volleyball World Championship held in Chile, following a decisive 3-0 victory over Turkey in the final match. The championship concluded on Sunday at the Collective Sports Center of the National Stadium Park.

The American squad achieved a flawless campaign throughout the tournament, maintaining a perfect record by not conceding a single set. They secured the final with set scores of 25-23, 25-11, and 25-23. Maya Ogbogu was a standout performer, earning the title of the tournament's best player, with Kari Knnots also noted for her offensive prowess and effectiveness at the net.

China secured the third position after defeating Chinese Taipei. The bronze medal match saw China lose the first set 28-26 but rally to win the next three sets 25-15, 25-19, and 25-22. Host nation Chile finished in 22nd place after a 0-3 loss to Puerto Rico in their final game, concluding their championship run with two victories against Egypt and Algeria.
