Uzbekistan proposes creating special economic zone for US companies

Uzbekistan is actively seeking to attract American investment by proposing the creation of a dedicated special economic zone for U.S. companies. This initiative aims to foster a conducive environment for American businesses to invest, deploy advanced technologies, and establish manufacturing operations within the Central Asian region.

Laziz Kudratov, Uzbekistan's minister of investment, industry, and trade, unveiled the proposal at a recent U.S.-Uzbekistan business forum. He highlighted the zone's potential to act as a strategic platform, channeling American capital and expertise into Uzbekistan and the broader Central Asian market.
