Vaquerita Dreams of Making History as a Referee in Men’s Matches at Arena México

Vaquerita has already moved from the ring to the referee’s position, but she is not satisfied with stopping there. After becoming one of the best-known figures in Mexican women’s wrestling, the former wrestler now wants to officiate men’s matches at Arena México.

Her experience inside the ring has helped her earn the confidence of Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre. She regularly works women’s bouts and has taken part in some of the promotion’s most important events involving the Amazonas of CMLL. Her next goal is to move into men’s wrestling and show that enforcing the rules does not depend on the competitors’ gender or the venue.

I like always having a goal to work toward and get up for every day. My goal is for Vaquerita to one day referee men’s matches at Arena México, which is why I work and give it my all. I believe that, outside the ring, the most important thing is the unity of my family, being able to be at home and enjoy every moment in my safe place.
