We had certain oscillations during the season, not huge ups and downs, but we entered into crises of results more than play. Injuries influenced that quite a bit; we constantly had problems due to which we couldn't play two games with the same lineup. But precisely because of those rotations, we gained squad depth, and as the season nears its end, many players have improved in form and many have recovered. Overall, the impression is excellent, and I hope we continue in this rhythm for the last five rounds.

Our team, under the guidance of Nikola Šafarić, has not only met but exceeded expectations this season. Sitting comfortably in a European qualification spot, we are proving that ambition and strategic planning can elevate a smaller club to national prominence. The journey hasn't been without its challenges, with injuries testing our squad's depth. However, these adversities have forged a stronger, more versatile team, with players hitting peak form at the crucial end of the season.

In terms of results, we are at our peak, and individuals can still improve in form. We are working on details. On some matches, it's very good, on others, a little less. In some phases, we can improve individual and team form. However, I must say, if we had a little more luck against Istra, Lokomotiva, and Gorica, we could have had more points.

The "family connection" within the club, as Šafarić describes it, is a unique asset. This isn't just about wins and losses; it's about building something sustainable, a club that can compete at a high level year after year. Securing a European spot isn't just a goal; it's an imperative, a chance to solidify our status and show that our success is no accident.

It meant a lot to me that we were calm and composed, without panic when Rijeka increased the pressure. It was a game of tactical chess, in which we strictly followed the plan prepared for the match. We knew we would have our chances. We "stuttered" a bit in possession, we weren't calm enough on the ball, but the most important thing is that we showed we know what we are doing.

While the rapid growth is exhilarating, it also presents challenges. Some within the club are still adapting to the pace set by the senior team's success. We are rebuilding the European pedigree that Varaždin once had, instilling new habits and a winning mentality. This positive momentum, though dependent on factors like the transfer market and player sales, is something we cherish and are working hard to maintain. The future is bright, and Varaždin is once again becoming a club that punches above its weight.

To qualify for Europe, now that we are already there. We have done many things well, and we must take that responsibility and qualify for European competition. For a small club like ours, it would be a truly great feat. You can have a confluence of circumstances one season to play in Europe, but two years in a row, it can no longer be called a coincidence. It would be a big thing for the club and the city.
