Večernji List offers Operation Storm anniversary poster

To mark the Victory and Homeland Thanksgiving Day and the Day of Croatian Defenders, Večernji List is including a special commemorative poster with its August 4th issue. The poster celebrates the "Operation Storm," a pivotal military offensive in Croatian history. It highlights the liberation of Knin and the crucial role of Croatian defenders in the Homeland War. The detailed poster presents key facts and figures from the 84-hour operation, which was the largest land offensive in Europe since World War II. It visually traces the operation's timeline, from its commencement on August 4th to the hoisting of the Croatian flag on Knin Fortress on August 5th, and its official conclusion on August 7th. The publication also recognizes the 138,800 Croatian forces who participated, the 7,940 square kilometers of territory liberated, and the key commanders. A solemn tribute is paid to the 245 Croatian defenders who were killed or went missing, their names read annually during the "Operation Storm" anniversary commemoration at Knin Fortress. The special double issue of Večernji List featuring this poster will be available only on August 4th.
