Venezuela: Fetrasalud Announces Special Bonus for Doctors and Retirees

The Federation of Health Workers (Fetrasalud) has announced the disbursement of a Special Single Bonus for medical professionals, with payments commencing on Wednesday. Retirees are scheduled to receive their bonus on July 30. This initiative aims to provide financial support to healthcare workers.

The bonus amount is set at 44,586.10, and importantly, these funds will be directly deposited into the payroll accounts of the recipients. This method bypasses the Patria platform, ensuring a more direct and potentially faster transfer of funds. The distinction in payment methods highlights different administrative processes for active and retired personnel.

Pablo Zambrano, the executive secretary of Fetrasalud, elaborated on the payment procedures. He detailed that all payments for active medical staff are processed through their regular payroll systems. In contrast, retired health workers will receive their bonuses via the Ministry of Health, indicating a coordinated effort between different entities to ensure the timely distribution of these funds.
