Venustiano Carranza delivers 10,000 food packages; beneficiaries to receive more in September and December

Evelyn Parra Álvarez, the mayor of Venustiano Carranza, launched the "Despensas para tu Bienestar Familiar 2026" program, distributing close to 10,000 food aid packages to local families. The initiative is designed to provide crucial support to households, easing the financial burden and bolstering family economies, particularly for vulnerable populations.

According to a statement from the borough, recipients are set to receive an additional food package in September and another in December. Each of these packages will include 20 essential items from the basic food basket, ensuring continued support throughout the year.

Local deputy Israel Moreno highlighted the program's impact, noting that the additional distributions in September and December will further strengthen family well-being. Federal deputy Elena Segura added that the initiative plays a significant role in enhancing social welfare and the economic stability of families within the Venustiano Carranza area.

Mayor Parra Álvarez reaffirmed her administration's commitment to continuing its efforts in delivering social programs. The focus remains on improving the quality of life for the residents of the Venustiano Carranza borough through accessible and impactful social assistance.
