Verdict in major weapons case: Convicted dealer supplied 15-year-old Swede

Copenhagen City Court has sentenced three men to long prison terms in a case involving a weapons cache and organized cocaine dealing. The sentences are seven, nine and 13 years, Denmark’s National Special Crime Unit, NSK, said in a press release.

The longest sentence, 13 years, went to 29-year-old Hussein Mahmoud Mansieh. He was convicted, among other things, of supplying weapons to a Swedish boy in Kastrup in November 2024. The boy was 15 at the time, but the court did not find it proven that Mansieh knew his age.

According to the indictment, several of the weapons handed to the teenager were particularly dangerous. They included an AK-47 assault rifle, an MP40 submachine gun and a hand grenade. Swedish border authorities later stopped and arrested the boy at the Øresund Bridge crossing.

The other defendants were 33-year-old Henrik Birke Jørgensen and 61-year-old Flemming Birke Jørgensen, who received sentences of seven and nine years. Together with Mansieh, they operated a cocaine business in autumn 2024. The cocaine was collected from various addresses in Copenhagen and the wider Copenhagen area on Mansieh’s instructions.

NSK said Flemming Birke Jørgensen was also convicted of transporting cocaine for a man who had previously received a six-year sentence in the same case. Mansieh and Henrik Birke Jørgensen were convicted of possessing five kilograms of cocaine, while Flemming Birke Jørgensen was convicted of possessing 8.5 kilograms. Mansieh and Flemming Birke Jørgensen appealed, while Henrik Birke Jørgensen is considering whether to do so.
