Veteran HCG donates rental AED equipment to Bade police

The HCG Foundation, established by the well-known Taiwanese sanitary ware manufacturer HCG, has donated seven rental automated external defibrillator (AED) devices to the Bade Division of the Taoyuan City Police Bureau. This initiative aims to bolster the emergency response capabilities of the police force and safeguard the lives of both officers and the public.

The donation, made shortly before Police Day, will see the AED units installed across seven locations within the Bade Division, including its headquarters and various police stations. The foundation has ensured that the funds for the donation are used exclusively for this purpose, emphasizing their commitment to protecting lives.

Pan Jen-chieh, Director of the Secretariat Office at the Bade Division, expressed gratitude for the donation, noting that the AED devices will be operational from June until November 2028. He also highlighted that free training sessions will be provided to ensure proper usage. Division Chief Cheng Wen-ming thanked the HCG Foundation for their support and concern for police work, accepting a commendation certificate on behalf of the division.

Cheng Wen-ming emphasized the critical importance of rapid response in emergencies, stating that the "golden rescue time" is often only a few minutes. He added that equipping officers with CPR and AED skills transforms them into "life guardians." The division chief also mentioned that numerous other police and fire units in Taoyuan have received similar donations from the foundation, underscoring HCG's ongoing commitment to community safety.
