Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun and Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, were among the dignitaries who arrived at the Ojude Oba festival in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State. The annual celebration is renowned for its vibrant display of traditional attire and cultural pageantry.

Thousands of guests, including politicians, celebrities, and members of the Nigerian diaspora, converge each year for the festival. Held on the third day after Eid-el-Kabir, it serves as a significant occasion to celebrate Ijebu culture and identity. Various groups made their entrance in flowing agbadas, geles, and intricately beaded accessories, adding to the colorful spectacle.

This year's Ojude Oba festival holds particular significance as it is the first to be held without Oba Sikiru Adetona. The revered monarch passed away in July last year, concluding a 65-year reign as the Awujale of Ijebuland. His absence was felt at the event, which continues to honor his legacy and the rich cultural heritage of the Ijebu people.
