Vietnam orders nationwide recall of non-compliant feminine washes, shampoos and body washes

Vietnam’s Drug Administration has ordered the nationwide suspension and recall of several feminine hygiene washes, shampoos, body washes and hand-washing products over regulatory violations.

One recalled product is Victory Herbal Feminine Wash, packaged as a 300-milliliter bottle. It carries product declaration number 06/26/CBMP-NA, batch number 010426 and a production date of April 15, 2026. The product failed to meet quality standards for microbiological limits.

The product’s responsible company and manufacturer is Chien Thang Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd., based in Nghe An province.

The administration also ordered the recall of five products from Bao Loi Cosmetics Co. Ltd. in Hai Phong because their formulas did not match the information filed in their product declarations. The list includes CURIA shampoo, for which Bao Loi Cosmetics is responsible for placing the product on the market.

The other four products carry the VLIACARE brand: body wash, shampoo, conditioner and hand wash. Nhat Linh Glow Beauty Co. Ltd., based in Hanoi, is responsible for placing those products on the market.

The administration instructed businesses nationwide to stop selling and using the products immediately and return them to their suppliers. Manufacturers and distributors must notify sales and user facilities, receive returned products, and arrange the collection and destruction of all non-compliant items. Local health departments must supervise the recall and destruction process and inspect whether the companies comply with regulations governing cosmetics production and trade.
