Vietnam's sea rowing team wins historic gold medals at 2026 Asian Championship

Vietnam's sea rowing team has achieved historic success at the 2026 Asian Sea Rowing Championship held in Thailand, securing two gold medals, one silver, and one bronze. This remarkable performance occurred during the team's very first participation in the continental championship.

Individual triumphs included Hoang Vu Kieu Loan winning gold in the U19 women's single sculls (W1X). Additionally, the duo of Ngoc Minh Chau and Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh clinched another gold medal in the U16 women's double sculls (W2X). Ngoc Minh Chau also earned a silver medal in the U16 women's single sculls (W1X), while Nguyen Thi Anh Tho secured a bronze medal in the Open women's single sculls (W1X).

Despite sea rowing receiving investment only in recent years, it is steadily establishing its presence on the international stage with promising results.
