Vietnamese rescue team returns from Venezuela, receives special thanks

Vietnam's dedicated search and rescue team has returned home from Venezuela, successfully concluding their mission to aid in the aftermath of a devastating earthquake. The contingent of 124 personnel, accompanied by 10 specialized search dogs, received a warm welcome at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi.

High-ranking officials, including Deputy Minister of National Defense Nguyen Van Hien and Deputy Minister of Public Security Le Van Tuyen, were present to honor the team's efforts. The delegation's return marked the successful completion of their humanitarian mission, which involved extensive search and rescue operations in the heavily impacted Playa Grande area of La Guaira state.

During their deployment, the Vietnamese team recovered 57 bodies from the rubble. The mission was a testament to Vietnam's commitment to international humanitarian aid, marking the third time the country has deployed resources for disaster relief abroad. The team's safe return was ensured, with all members accounted for.

Adding a poignant touch to the homecoming, Estela Del Valle Quijada Suarez, the interim charge d'affaires of the Venezuelan Embassy in Vietnam, personally conveyed her nation's profound gratitude. She presented a bouquet of flowers and expressed the deep appreciation of the Venezuelan people for the Vietnamese team's noble actions, assuring them that their efforts would be forever cherished in the hearts of Venezuelans.
