Villar returns to Spain, Dinamo to receive bonus payment; Livaković's future unclear

Gonzalo Villar has departed Dinamo Zagreb after a brief and unsuccessful stint with the Croatian champions. The Spanish midfielder arrived last summer for a fee of around three million euros but struggled to make an impact, featuring in only 15 matches and contributing one goal and one assist before returning to Spain.

Dinamo Zagreb is set to benefit financially from Elche's successful fight against relegation in Spain's La Liga. Elche secured their place in the top flight with a 1-1 draw against Girona in the final matchday, activating a clause in Villar's transfer agreement. This clause entitles Dinamo to an additional 1.5 million euros, adding to the initial transfer fee.

Meanwhile, the future of highly-rated Croatian goalkeeper Dominik Livaković is currently uncertain. Livaković, who spent the first half of the season with Girona before joining Dinamo, is officially a Fenerbahçe player. Despite fan chants urging him to stay following Dinamo's title victory, his next move remains undecided. The decision now rests with Dinamo's leadership, including Zvonimir Boban.
