VinFast VF 8 Premium spotted with new features, including Camry-like passenger-seat controls

A VinFast VF 8 carrying the name “Premium” has appeared at a dealership, revealing equipment not available on the version currently sold in Vietnam. The exterior remains nearly unchanged, but the cabin includes several notable additions.

The central display identifies the vehicle as the VF 8 Premium. VinFast currently distributes the VF 8 as the Comfort version, raising the possibility that the company is preparing a higher-end configuration. However, VinFast has not announced the Premium model, so it is not yet clear whether the dealership vehicle represents a commercial version that will soon go on sale.

One of the most distinctive details sits on the driver-side mirror cover. A hand-and-card symbol suggests the presence of an NFC reader or similar technology. If the feature reaches commercial vehicles, drivers could use a card to unlock the car instead of a conventional key.

The front passenger seat also gains electric adjustment. Controls mounted on the side of the seatback would allow rear passengers or the driver to adjust the passenger seat more easily. The arrangement resembles passenger-seat controls found on some sedans, including the Toyota Camry.

The Premium vehicle retains the current model’s overall appearance, including VinFast’s wing-shaped daytime running lights and 19-inch wheels. The VF 8 Comfort has five seats, a 12.9-inch central display, two-zone automatic air conditioning with an ion filter, a six-way power driver’s seat, eight speakers and a Vietnamese-language virtual assistant. It uses a 170-kilowatt front-mounted electric motor, a 60.13-kilowatt-hour battery and a claimed NEDC range of about 500 kilometers. VinFast lists the Comfort at 899 million dong. The company has not said whether the Premium will receive changes to its battery, motor or other performance specifications.
